New barcoo version for Nokia 5800, N97 and other Symbian devices

As we have mentioned, our goal is to offer the award-winning barcoo transparency to as many consumers as possible.
No matter what smartphone, it should be possible to access green, price and background information everywhere you want.
However, lately we have gotten a little behind on the promise concerning our loyal Nokia customers – but today that will change: A new touch-enabled barcoo version for Nokia 5800 (Express Music), N97, N97 mini and other S60 5th edition devices can be download for free from Nokia Ovi Store.
The new version speeds up scanning and simplifies the user experience. Price- and product information, for example food traffic light and sustainability information, and everything else are now shown directly in the app. Gone are the days of having to fiddle with jumping between the built-in browser and the scanner.
We are committed to further invest into the Nokia platform and are looking into specifically supporting the upcoming Symbian^3 devices such as the Nokia N8 and C7.

Servus,
ich interessiere mich für das Nokia C7. Allerdings frage ich mich, ob es mit der Full Focus / Fix Focus Technologie überhaupt möglich ist, Barcoo anzuwenden. Laut Reviews und Erfahrungsberichten sollen Objekte, die näher als 1 Meter sind, nur unscharft aufgenommen werden.
Könnt Ihr sagen, ob es in absehbarer Zeit trotzdem Barcoo fürs C7 geben wird? (Z.B. über die Front Cam?)

Naja, egal. Was ich wissen wollte ist, wie ich jetzt über den Ovi-Store an das Programm in der aktuellen Version komme. Ich hoffe mir kann da jemand helfen… Danke !

Hallo,
was ist denn jetzt mit den neuen Symbian-Versionen?
Wir haben Februar 2011, im OVI-Store ist barcoo für mein Nokia C6-01 (Symbian^3) immer noch nicht verfügbar.
Wird es überhaupt weiterentwickelt, da Nokia ja eine Partnerschaft mit Microsoft eingegangen ist und in Zukunft auf Windows Mobile setzen wird?
Ich persönlich würde es schade finden, da barcoo ,dank seiner umfangreicheren Produktdatenbank, für mich der beste Scanner ist.

Hallo Marcus,
wenn ich im OVI-Store mein Nokia C6-01 auswähle erhalte ich nur die Meldung “Dieser Artikel ist leider nicht für das Nokia C6-01 erhältlich.”
Gibt es vielleicht die Möglichkeit die SIS-Datei direkt zu laden, ohne den OVI-Store? Ich würde gern ausprobieren ob eure Symbian^3-Version auf dem C6-01 funktioniert.

Hallo Kangaroo,
ich habs auf dem C6-01 installiert. Die Version BarcooS6050 läuft zwar, das Problem ist wohl die Kamera. Da sie keine Makro aufnahme bietet, kann der Code nicht erkannt werden- bleibt nur die eingabe des Zahlen codes – da funzt es aber.

Hallo zusammen,
Support-Anfragen, auch zu einzelnen Geräten, werden am besten im Forum (forum.barcoo.de) oder an support@barcoo.de gestellt.
Für das C6-01 und das C7 gibt es tatsächlich keine Versionen von barcoo, da die Kameras dieser Geräte keinen echten Autofokus haben.

vielen Dank für Deine Nachricht. Leider gibt es für das Nokia 6303 classic keine Version von barcoo. Du kannst barcoo jedoch nutzen in dem Du mit Deinem Handybrowser auf unsere mobile Website surfst und dort den Suchbegriff oder den Barcode von Hand eingibst.
