The values of the traffic light rating system refer to 100 g oder respectively 100 ml. They are based on guidance amounts established by the British Food Standards Agency (FSA).
The colours represent the rating of the nutritional value of the product:
Green means that only a low amount of a nutrient is contained in the scanned product.
Yellow signaled a medium level of content of the particular nutrient.
Red indicated a high share of the particular nutrient in the scanned product.
The purpose of the nutritional information in the traffic light system, as well as the GDA-System, is to give guidance and help making better choices and selections of one's diet.
